The Instituto de Salud para el Bienestar, known by its initials INSABI, was a Mexican government health agency established in 2020 under the administration of President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador to provide medical services to people not covered by the country's two main social security institutes, the Mexican Social Security Institute and the Institute for Social Security and Services for State Workers. INSABI replaced Seguro Popular, an earlier health insurance program established in 2003. On 25 April 2023 Mexico's Chamber of Deputies voted to dissolve INSABI, merging its functions into IMSS-Bienestar to consolidate health care services for the country's uninsured population.
