The Ghana AIDS Commission is a supra-ministerial, multi-sectoral body established by Act 938 of the Parliament of Ghana. Its 47 members include the President and Vice President of Ghana, fifteen Ministers of State and two members of Parliament, and the Commission works within a wider national HIV and AIDS response drawing in government institutions, health agencies, civil society organizations, development partners and communities, on the premise that the epidemic cannot be addressed by the health sector alone.
