COVID-19 Vaccination in the United Kingdom

Immunization Program

The United Kingdom's COVID-19 vaccination program is an ongoing mass immunisation campaign that began on December 8, 2020, when Margaret Keenan became the first person in the world outside a clinical trial to receive a dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. Regulated by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, the program primarily used the Pfizer-BioNTech, Oxford-AstraZeneca and Moderna vaccines, delivered through a phased priority order starting with care home residents, health workers and the elderly. As recorded in the article's infobox, more than 53.7 million people had received at least one dose, more than 50.4 million had completed a two-dose course, and more than 40.1 million and 6.2 million had received third and fourth doses respectively.
