Pakistan's Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Strategy, covering 2018 to 2025, sets national objectives to reduce the country's high burden of malnutrition, including a targeted 40 percent reduction in stunting among children under five toward an overall goal of cutting stunting prevalence from 40 percent in 2018 to 33 percent by 2025, alongside reductions in anaemia, low birth weight, and wasting and an increase in exclusive breastfeeding rates. It underpins the government's later National Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Program, funded through Pakistan Nutrition Initiatives, which targeted 36 high-burden, calamity-affected, and underserved districts across Balochistan, Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Punjab.
