The National Leprosy Eradication Program is a health scheme of India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare directed at eradicating leprosy across the country. India operates the largest leprosy eradication program in the world under this scheme, which continues to address the disease notwithstanding the country's already large reported caseload of new cases each year.
