Movember

Chronic Disease Prevention Program

Movember is an annual November campaign in which participants, known as Mo Bros, grow moustaches to raise awareness and funds for men's health issues, particularly prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health and suicide prevention. The concept originated in Adelaide, South Australia in 1999, and the modern charitable movement was established in 2004 in Melbourne by Adam Garone, Travis Garone, Luke Slattery and Justin Coghlin, who inspired 26 friends to grow moustaches for 30 days. Starting with 500 participants who raised 40,000 US dollars in 2005, the campaign expanded internationally from 2007 and the Movember Foundation, headquartered in Melbourne with offices in Los Angeles, London and Toronto, has since raised more than 837 million US dollars and funded over 1,200 projects in more than 20 countries, with a stated mission to change the face of men's health.

Delivers Practice

Entity-backed identity for the program-kind enum value this public health program already carries, resolved to a health practice by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The program-kind fact itself stays on the program unchanged.
