The Global Drug Facility is the Stop TB Partnership's procurement and supply mechanism for tuberculosis diagnostics and treatment, created in 2001. It has grown into a one-stop bundled procurement service combining strategic purchasing of TB products and coordination of the market for them with technical assistance and capacity-building for national tuberculosis programmes. New treatments are added to its catalogue soon after approval, as with pretomanid, part of the shorter, all-oral drug-resistant TB regimens recommended by the World Health Organization, which the facility listed within a year of the drug's 2019 approval.
