FIND, formally the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics, is a global health non-profit based in Geneva, Switzerland, that functions as a product development partnership, collaborating actively with more than 150 partners to develop, evaluate and implement diagnostic tests for poverty-related diseases. It was founded in 2003, launched by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the World Health Organization's Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases, with tuberculosis central to its origins and its initial focus on speeding up the development and evaluation of tuberculosis tests. FIND has since broadened its work to diagnostic solutions for HIV, malaria, hepatitis C and neglected tropical diseases, as well as antimicrobial resistance, acute febrile illness and outbreak preparedness, and it has supported major tuberculosis diagnostic advances including Cepheid's GeneXpert MTB/RIF platform for rapid diagnosis and drug-sensitivity testing, Eiken's LAMP platform and Molbio's Truenat tests.
