The Kenya Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Program, known as K-WASH, is a government program combining World Bank performance-for-results and investment project financing to close the gap in water and sanitation services between Kenya's rural and urban areas. Running from 2024 to 2030 with funding that includes a 2026 boost of 144 million US dollars on top of an original 250 million US dollar allocation, the program aims to benefit four million people by expanding climate-resilient rural water services and extending humanitarian relief water access to refugees.
