An international nonprofit global health organization, known formerly as the Program for Appropriate Technology in Health and founded in 1977, headquartered in Seattle with roughly 1,600 employees working in more than 70 countries. PATH concentrates its work on six platforms, vaccines, drugs, diagnostics, devices, and systems and service innovations, spanning maternal and child health, reproductive health, immunization programs and epidemic disease control, and it develops technologies and strategies against diseases including malaria, HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis and COVID-19, with particular emphasis on solutions suited to resource-limited settings.
