The Conseil National de Lutte contre le SIDA (CNLS) is Senegal's national council for coordinating and directing the country's HIV/AIDS response, serving as the political body for high-level orientation and decision-making on the epidemic. It meets annually, or exceptionally on presidential convocation, with a Partners Forum led by the Minister of Health coordinating activity between sessions, sets national HIV strategy, pursues advocacy and partnership at the highest levels of government, and oversees compliance with ethical standards in the national AIDS response. Senegal's HIV response has helped stabilize the epidemic at a general-population prevalence of 0.3 percent as of 2022, though higher prevalence persists among specific key populations.
