The Swedish Workplace HIV/AIDS Programme (SWHAP) is a joint initiative of the International Council of Swedish Industry and the Swedish Industrial and Metalworkers' Union that supports Swedish companies and their partners in establishing workplace HIV and AIDS programmes in sub-Saharan Africa. It operates in Botswana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe, built on close cooperation between company management, local trade union branches and workers' representatives, and it focuses on prevention, access to care and anti-discrimination efforts in the workplace.
