Tunisia Caisse Nationale d'Assurance Maladie (CNAM)

CNAM is Tunisia's national health insurance fund, created under a 2004 law to unify health insurance schemes previously managed separately by the national social security and pension funds and to extend coverage across public and private healthcare providers. As the common state health insurance scheme for all insured Tunisians, it manages sickness and maternity benefits and workplace accident and occupational disease compensation, and lets insured people choose among public, private, or reimbursement care pathways through a network of more than 60 regional and local centers.
