The White Ribbon Alliance is an international nonprofit organization, established in 1999 as the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood, that advocates for maternal health and works to eliminate maternal mortality. It operates as a coalition bringing together partners at the global, national and sub-national levels to advance reproductive health and reproductive rights and to improve health outcomes for mothers and newborns.
