A division of Kenya's Ministry of Health, sitting within the Department of National Strategic Public Health Programs, responsible for providing care and preventive services to everyone in the country affected by tuberculosis, leprosy or lung disease. The National Tuberculosis, Leprosy and Lung Disease Program, abbreviated NTLD-P, aims to accelerate the reduction of the burden of all three conditions by delivering people-centered services that are universally accessible, acceptable and affordable, and it provides the technical guidance and supervision that underpins Kenya's tuberculosis and leprosy control efforts nationwide. Its technical staff are organized into eight sections covering prevention, health promotion and community engagement, communication, laboratory services, care and treatment, policy and planning, monitoring and evaluation and research, supply chain and pharmacovigilance, and administration and finance, and the program's annual reports track new and continuing cases, pediatric cases, drug-resistant tuberculosis, TB and HIV coinfection, and treatment outcomes across the country.
