MAKNA, short for Majlis Kanser Nasional and also known as the National Cancer Council Malaysia, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to reducing the pain, suffering and morbidity experienced by cancer patients. It provides curative care, preventive care, cancer research and support services to cancer patients and their families, to high-risk groups and to the general public in Malaysia and abroad, and operates a bursary program giving financial support to individuals with cancer; in 2020 MAKNA received Malaysia's Merdeka Award in the Education and Community category.
