A global partnership dedicated to eliminating tuberculosis as a public health problem, founded in March 2001 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, administered by the United Nations Office for Project Services since 2015 and comprising around 2,000 partner organizations spanning international agencies, national governments, nongovernmental organizations and patient groups. Its main mechanisms include the Global Drug Facility, which expands access to affordable TB medicines and diagnostics, and TB REACH, which funds innovative approaches to finding and treating TB in underserved communities. The partnership's Global Plan to End TB 2023 to 2030 calls for 5 billion dollars a year in TB research and development funding, a target the plan itself notes fell far short in 2021, when only about 1 billion dollars was raised.
