World No Tobacco Day

Chronic Disease Prevention Program

World No Tobacco Day, observed on 31 May each year since 1987, is a World Health Organization member-state campaign that informs the public about the dangers of tobacco use, the business practices of tobacco companies, and what people can do to protect their own health and that of future generations. It was created to draw global attention to the tobacco epidemic and the preventable death and disease it causes.
