World Obesity Day

Chronic Disease Prevention Program

An annual international awareness and advocacy observance organized by the World Obesity Federation, first held on October 11, 2015 and moved to a new date of March 4 starting in 2020. World Obesity Day maintains official relations with the World Health Organization and collaborates with the Lancet Commission on Obesity, and it is used each year as a platform to raise awareness of the global obesity crisis and to advocate for practical solutions, with each edition built around a different thematic focus that has ranged from childhood obesity to the systemic health inequities and environmental factors that influence obesity rates around the world.

Delivers Practice

Entity-backed identity for the program-kind enum value this public health program already carries, resolved to a health practice by an explicit value-to-entity map (phase 3 bucket conversion, docs\design_entity_backed_browse_buckets_20260928.md). The program-kind fact itself stays on the program unchanged.
